So when a young woman from New York claimed she had taught her dogs to play Uno, people were understandably skeptical, until she shared the proof on TikTok.
Wait… They Actually Play?
Usually, when you think of Uno, you picture a group of friends gathered around a table, spending hours in friendly competition.
But for Haley Deecken, a dog mom from New York, game night looked a little different.
Instead of playing with people, she trained her dogs to join her in a round of Uno. Knowing people would have a hard time believing her, she posted a video as evidence.
In the clip, Haley can be seen in the middle of a game. At one point, she drops a +2 card on her pup, who immediately barks in protest. Clearly, he wasn’t thrilled about having to pick up more cards.
The hilarious back-and-forth continued, showing just how well the dogs had learned to “play” along.
Haley explained that she started by using only two colors, blue and yellow, since dogs see those shades most clearly. She rewarded them with treats whenever they got a match correct, slowly introducing more colors as they improved.
While red and green gave them some trouble, she said they still managed to recognize them surprisingly well most of the time.
Haley admitted that her dogs don’t actually know the full rules of Uno, but they do understand how to match colors, and for this playful version of the game, that’s all that really matters.
TikTok Couldn’t Believe It
When Haley shared the video on TikTok, reactions poured in, with viewers completely floored by what they saw.

And honestly, who wouldn’t be upset about being hit with a +2?
