Kind Girl Who Lost Her Pup Decided To Foster A Shelter Dog Who Was On Euthanasia List

As someone who was a proud dog owner once, I have to say that losing my pup has caused me immense heartbreak. Anyone who has owned a dog has likely experienced this at some point.

Even though it seems like the pain will never end, time heals all wounds. Some people recover, but never adopt a dog again.

Others choose to save dogs again and give them all a chance. This varies from person to person, but the love we share for our beloved pups is the same nevertheless.

Whitney shares the same story as she lost her dog not too long ago and felt that it was an appropriate time to save another pup who really needed her.

When Whitney made the decision to foster a dog again, she decided to look at the euthanasia list to see which dogs need her help the most.

That’s when she first saw Glinda. She was so adorable, as she reminded her of Luna, who passed away. This was the moment where she knew that Glinda needed a new foster home with her.

She went to the shelter in Texas to meet her and she seemed happy to see her. While there was some uncertainty in her, she quickly let her guard down when Whitney approached her.

They warmly greeted each other and immediately became friends. The anxious look Glinda had was now replaced with a warm smile and excitement.

Whitney gave her a closer look and noted that she was a bit sick and probably needed treatment before she fosters her.

Because of overbreeding, this poor pup suffered through a lot of health issues. Luckily, she had someone who would be there for her every step of the way.

When that problem was taken care of, it was finally safe to take Glinda into her new foster home in Texas.

She looked so happy when she was finally there. Everything looked new and exciting, and she wanted to explore every corner of her new house.

Whitney made sure she was comfortable in her care as she wanted her to recover fast and just enjoy her life until she was ready for adoption.

It looked like Glinda was just happy to be with someone who gave her the love and care she deserved. That’s what Whitney wanted for her.

The clock was ticking and Glinda made an amazing recovery. It was now her time to find a new family. She was placed on an adoption list where she waits for her forever home.

While we don’t know if she has found the perfect people just yet, she is safe in the care of her rescuers and that’s all that matters.

I met a dog this weekend on the euthanasia list that reminded me of my heart dog, Luna. Luna was the reason why I started doing rescue over a dozen years ago. Meet Glinda, a mama dog who found herself on the euthanasia list due to lack of space as well as clear medical issues in her mammary area, likely due to overbreeding. She is a medium-sized, gray-muzzled, shy, black with brown speckles kind of dog. Well, I knew immediately that she was coming to my house. She got the surgery she needed to remove multiple masses, and is now safe at home with me recovering. She tinkles when she sees me so I know we are going to have a good time here! I can’t wait to share her journey with you guys. This one is for you, Luna ❤️ Follow @whitneysdogs for more foster glow-ups! #dogrescue #shelterovercapacity #helpingshelterdogs #fosteringsaveslives #heartsandbonesrescue
