While many dogs don’t need regular grooming, others grow so much fur that it can start affecting their health and mobility.
In some cases, excess fur can block their vision or even lead to infections.
That’s why grooming is such an important part of pet care. The pups in this story are a powerful reminder of what can happen when dogs are completely neglected and left to survive on their own.
The Rescue Mission Begins
When Audray, from Luck’s Rescue came across two extremely matted dogs on a Georgia street, she was devastated.
Both dogs looked like they had been struggling for some time. Their fur was matted, tangled and heavy, and they seemed hungry and dehydrated.
The dogs desperately needed someone, and Audray stepped in to help. She was determined to give them a second chance and free them from the weight of all that fur.
Even in their rough shape, the dogs wagged their tails and seemed happy to be near her. That small gesture showed they trusted her.
Audray brought them to a shelter and contacted local groomers to find help. Thankfully, one responded right away and came to assist.
Everyone was stunned by how much fur these pups had been carrying.
A Big Secret Comes To Light
Once they were fully groomed, the dogs looked like completely different pups. The amount of fur removed was unbelievable.
They seemed visibly relieved, and their spirits lifted. After grooming, the next step was a health check to make sure they were okay.
That’s when the rescuers discovered something unexpected. One of the dogs was pregnant and due to give birth soon.
Aside from that surprise, both pups were in decent health. They simply needed good food and care.
In the meantime, the dedicated Georgia rescuers are working to find them forever homes. It may take time, but they’re committed to helping these sweet dogs find the love they deserve.
Thanks to Audray and her team, they finally have a future to look forward to.
