Brave Firefighters From Massachusetts Save A Missing Dog Who Was Stranded On Rocks Of A Waterfall

Every devoted dog owner dreads the thought of losing their furry companion.

For Susan and her husband, dog owners from Massachusetts, that nightmare became a reality.

They were heartbroken when their seven-year-old dog named Maggie ran away from the yard of her home.

The family searched for her, but they couldn’t find her.

However, they didn’t give in to sadness or panic and started doing everything in their power to bring Maggie home.

They reported to the Wellesley Police Department that their dog was missing and urged them to start a search.

Locating The Dog

Susan posted Maggie’s photo on Facebook, asking whether anyone had seen their dog.

Nobody seemed to know anything about the pup who seemed to have disappeared without a trace.

The police started their search, and an hour later, they found out what had happened to the dog.

Wellesley Fire Department reached out to them and told them that they were trying to save Maggie from the Charles River.

The police officers rushed to the location in order to help the firefighters rescue the doggo.

Footage captured by the police drone revealed the dog stranded on the rocks of the waterfall. According to the police, Maggie had fallen from at least one waterfall.

While the firefighters were trying to save her, the dog fell into the fierce river.

Fortunately, as the river carried her, she climbed to another set of rocks.

Once Maggie tried to jump over a stone wall, she fell into the water once again and got stuck in the spillway by the river.

The firefighters raced to save her, fearing that Maggie would be swept further downstream and into the raging currents.

Thankfully, the rescue team grabbed hold of her and pulled her to safety.

Maggie Reunites With Her Family

Maggie needed some time to process everything that had happened.

The rescuers dried her and kept her warm.

The Wellesley Police Department informed Maggie’s parents that she was safe and sound.

The doggo’s family was over the moon. Her mom immediately rushed to the spot to reunite with their beloved dog.

When Maggie saw her mom, she felt a sense of relief. She missed her so much.

Her mom took her in her arms and cuddled her. At that moment, the doggo knew that everything was going to be alright.

Maggie’s parents were thankful to both the Massachusetts police and firefighters for saving the dog’s life.

“… We are so incredibly grateful to both the Wellesley Police Department and the Newton Fire Department for rescuing our rescue dog and bringing her to safety,” her mom commented on Facebook.

The doggo was overjoyed to return to her forever home with her loving family.
