Nevada Firefighters Received Call About A Teenager And 2 Dogs Stuck In A Well, So They Sprung Into Action

For we dog lovers, there is nothing worse than seeing them in pain, so we always try to do at least something to help them out.

It can be a simple act, like giving them food or calling for rescuers, but there are some situations where it’s a bit more complex.

What this teenager tried was also a bit reckless. Two dogs were trapped in a well, so the kind person thought that there was some way to help them, but the situation only got worse.

The teenager got stuck inside the well with the dogs, and now a serious intervention was necessary.

Firefighters Were Shocked

It was an ordinary day for these Nevada firefighters when they suddenly received a call about a teenager who tried to rescue two dogs from a well and got stuck.

Without wasting a moment, the firefighters grabbed their gear and drove to the location, but it was not just them working on this rescue operation.

In fact, Nevada County Consolidated FD and Grass Valley Fire Department decided to combine their efforts because this was not going to be an easy rescue by any means.

After assessing the situation, they realized that the dogs and the teenager were trapped at least 15 to 20 feet down.

So, just pulling them out wouldn’t work. They needed to build a system of ropes that could help them all get up safely, so they got to work.

Once everything was prepared and in place, the rescuers started pulling them out one by one. They were very calm and systematic.

A Successful Operation

The entire operation took about an hour and they were able to get both the dogs and the teenager up safely. After an examination, they realized that none of them had serious injuries.

The only problem was that the dogs were slightly dehydrated, and they were treated shortly after the rescue.

Thanks to the combined efforts of two fire departments, they were able to make an amazing rescue. It just goes to show once again how much we can accomplish when we work together.

Nevada County Consolidated FD wrote: “We’re grateful for the quick thinking of the initial reporting party and the professional response of our firefighters. This incident is a reminder of the importance of avoiding unsecured structures and calling for help immediately in emergencies.

And, I think it’s important to take this information seriously. In case you find that your pet ended up in a similar situation, it’s better to stay calm and wait for professionals to help.
