I can’t even begin to imagine the cruelty of a harsh world where stray dogs need to fend for themselves. Just imagine: hunger, loneliness, no hope of rescue, and constant suffering.
Many of our four-legged friends suffer in silence and have their needs ignored. And if one dog knows what it’s like to be in that position, it’s definitely Caiman.
He was found wandering the Florida streets with a serious case of mange. With almost no fur and with eyes searching for the right person to notice him, all Caiman ever wanted was to be loved.
The only question is, will someone see past his scars and give him the second chance he so desperately deserves?
“He Will Be Staring Into Your Soul Until You Adopt Him”
From the moment Caiman was brought to Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League, he has been nothing but a sweetheart.
Found with mange, with his skin being in rough condition, Caiman needed proper medical treatment. But, other than that, he was in good shape.
“Caiman was bright pink when we met him! He was found stray with demodex mange, but it was nothing a little medicine, time, and love couldn’t heal. Now, he’s ready to find a home,” the Florida wrote on Facebook.
Before long, Caiman looked like a brand-new dog, ready for the next chapter of his life. The only problem was: people kept passing by his kennel, not giving him the chance he truly needed.
In an emotional Instagram video posted by the rescue, Caiman can be seen peeking wistfully from his tiny kennel, hoping to lock eyes with his potential adopters.
Before long, the post reading “Caiman watching adopters pass him.” captivated the hearts of thousands of people.
Caiman’s dramatic gesture for attention only showed how desperately he wanted to go back to having a family.
According to the video description, Caiman had a family before and had already lived with kids.
“This teddy bear we call Caiman is great with dogs, has lived with kids, and can’t wait to cuddle on the couch with a family. He will be staring into your soul until you adopt him,” the video description concludes.
Ready For A New Chapter
The truth is that Caiman is more than just a cute face.
He’s a friendly boy who would definitely make a great addition to any family. He’s already proven to be great with other dogs, with kids, and would make the perfect companion.
Whether his future family looks for a dog for cozy cuddle sessions on the couch, or exciting city walkies, Caiman can do it all.
In the meantime, Caiman will remain waiting for the right people in his kennel.
He’ll still be watching others walk past, dreaming of the home where he’ll be loved and cherished. Hopefully, not for too long, as Caiman definitely deserves a home of his own!
