Four years ago, Meghan and Steve embarked on one of their earliest road trips together through Colorado. Everything seemed fine, until it wasn’t.
Instead of sitting upright as usual, Steve lay completely still on the car mat. Hours passed, and he hadn’t budged.
Then Meghan realized something.
“On this day 4 years ago, Steve made his very first core memory,” Meghan wrote in the video.
At the time, Steve was so small that his regular harness didn’t fit. Meghan had to get creative and used a snug life jacket secured with strong Velcro.
“I had to use this life jacket for Steve because he was too small to fit in his harness, and it’s like this really strong Velcro. As I was driving back to Colorado, he was on the floor of the car and didn’t move for hours,” she said in the video.
When Meghan leaned in to investigate, she uncovered the truth: Steve had accidentally Velcroed himself to the car floor.
