So, when a volunteer from the Houston Boxer Rescue heard about a lonely pup wandering along a busy road for more than a week, she didn’t waste a second. She grabbed her gear and rushed to the scene.
A Lost Little Soul
Thankfully, a kind-hearted local had also spotted the underweight pup and had been leaving him food. This not only gave the boxer some much-needed strength, but it also made the rescuer’s job just a little easier.
When she finally located him, she knew she needed to earn his trust before making any sudden moves.
Getting down to his level, she reached out her hand and began speaking in the gentlest, most soothing tone she could muster.
The pup, clearly longing for affection, didn’t hesitate. He walked straight over, ready for the warmth of a human touch.
To seal their bond, the rescuer pulled out some tasty snacks. The hungry boy wasted no time devouring every last crumb, his tail wagging in gratitude.
With his belly full and his heart already warming to his new friend, this sweet boxer was finally ready to leave the streets behind.
She gently led him to safety and transported him to the Houston Boxer Rescue, where a cozy bed, fresh food, and caring hands awaited him.
It won’t be long before this lovable pup finds the forever family he’s been waiting for — one that will shower him with love and make him feel like the most special boy in the world.

I can’t put into words how much admiration I have for dedicated rescuers.
