We have all seen the funny videos of dogs reacting in a hilarious way after going to a veterinary clinic for the first time.
It’s scary for them, but it’s something that is necessary if we want to keep them healthy. What’s interesting is that their fear never really goes away.
Most of them will be terrified of veterinarians for the rest of their lives. But that’s not the case for all of them.
Some dogs, like this pup from Illinois, have a very surprising reaction to seeing a veterinarian for the first time, and her story is really interesting.
She Loves The Attention

When Andrea Swindall realized that she needed to take her small 16-pound dachshund to the veterinarian clinic because of a sting, she was already worried about her reaction.
She knows how dogs typically react to events like this, so it crossed her mind that her pup, Journie, might get scared.
Either way, it was something that needed to be done, so she took Journie to a veterinary clinic in Illinois, and what happened next was shocking.

Journie’s sting got infected, so she was a little bit scared and it was also important that they quickly react to this news.
Then, out of the blue, Swindall noticed that her dog was not taking her eyes off of one of the nurses, Rubén Colón.
She was demanding cuddles from him, and he happily obliged. The whole time they were there, he was comforting her, and it all went smoothly.
Well, She Found A New Friend

Swindall was stunned that her dog was barely noticing her. The whole time they were there, she didn’t care about her mom.
Because of this hilarious moment, Swindall captured it on her camera and posted it on her TikTok channel. Journie became a sensation overnight.
One person commented: “I believe she has chosen your new husband my dearest.”
Well, I am not sure about that, but one thing I do know is that she definitely wants to be friends with the nurse, and Swindall will have to do something about that.
Another person said: “She’s looking at you like don’t u have somewhere to be? Lol.”

Yeah, it’s like in a moment, she didn’t care about her mom and just wanted cuddles from the nurse. Nothing else mattered.
Lastly, somebody commented: “I guess you need to 1) adopt him and bring him home or 2) Arrange weekly playdates 3) Set up a TT account for them and capitalize on this luv.”
Well, one thing is for sure: something needs to happen because it would be sad if this new friendship just ended like that.
Either way, I think it’s safe to say that Journie will never be afraid of going to the veterinary clinic because she knows her new favorite person is there.
