When the rescuers from Howl Of A Dog, a small nonprofit animal rescue organization, were driving on the road, something strange caught their eye.
Abandoned by the side of a road was a dog who was barking its heart out, trying to call out for help.
The rescuers, who found themselves in the right place at the right time, immediately pulled over their car and changed the life of this pup forever.
Finally Rescued
As soon as they stepped out of the car, the pup, not knowing what their intentions were, got a bit scared.
However, he quickly gathered up the courage to approach them, almost as if he sensed their good hearts and desire to help.
The rescuers offered the pup some yummy food in order to gain its trust and show it that they really were there to help.
The hungry pup ate the yummy treats and, little by little, started trusting the hoomans. The rescuers were really happy with this fast progress since the dog was at a dangerous location and any sudden movements may result in injury.
In no time, the incredible rescuers were able to get a leash around the pup, later named Mowgli, and put him in their car.
The timing of this rescue couldn’t have been more perfect since, just a couple of moments after, a big storm hit the exact area where the abandoned pup was.
At The Shelter
As soon as they arrived at the rescue shelter, the staff gave this adorable pup some food and water. Since he was still hesitant, they allowed him to settle in at his own pace, not wanting to scare him even more.
Luckily, it didn’t take Mowgli a long time to realize that he was finally in a safe environment, surrounded by people who love and care for him.
Seeing that he is more relaxed now, the staff decided to take him to the vet so that he could receive a thorough checkup.
The vets began by scanning him for a microchip, but he did not have one. However, he was in good health!
New Life
One of Mowgli’s habits is that he likes to hide all the treats he gets in his bed. Even though this might seem like a silly trait at first glance, it is actually his instinct for survival kicking in, hiding the food so that he can have it when he gets hungry.
Seeing this really broke the rescuer’s hearts. However, they were glad that he was finally in a safe and loving environment where he could eat as much as he wanted!
After spending a couple of days at the shelter, this beautiful pup received neuter surgery, from which he fully recovered in no time!
Mowgli completely transformed from a sad and frightened pup into a happy and sweet doggo who loves playing with hoomans as well as other furry friends.
Now, all that is left for Mowgli is to find a happy and fun forever home that will finally provide this incredible pup with the life it truly deserves.
And, I am sure that as soon as one sees his beautiful face, he will manage to find it in no time.
