When a sweet Labrador Retriever began showing up around a neighborhood in Carnesville, Georgia, it did not take long for him to become a familiar and cherished presence.
People in the area started calling him Waylon and made sure he had food, but even with all that kindness, no one stepped forward to give him the forever home he was clearly longing for.
So Waylon kept roaming the streets each day, hoping someone would finally see just how badly he needed love. Then one morning, something shifted. A doggy daycare bus rolled past, and the sight of it seemed to light something up inside him.
Bursting with excitement, he took off after it as though he believed that if he could just catch it, it might somehow bring him the happy life he had been waiting for.
Pup Receives The Best Possible News
Tyson Cash, one of the owners of Keller Creek, a doggy daycare in Carnesville, was driving the bus that morning.
He noticed the pup who was chasing the bus, but he couldn’t let him in due to existing rules. Cash felt sad because he had to leave him behind.
The good-hearted man was committed to helping the pup. He and his wife, Ashten, posted a video on Facebook hoping that the pup belonged to a loving family who was looking for him.
When a good woman named Sadie watched the footage of the doggo running after the bus, she felt heartbroken.
“The first video I saw was him chasing the daycare bus, and it absolutely broke my heart. He was running with all his might to try to catch up to get it to stop. I believe that when he was chasing that bus, he was chasing his dream” Sadie told Cuddle Buddies.
Sadie contacted Keller Creek and asked for more information about the pup.
When she found out that Waylon was abandoned and that nobody knew where his owner was, the good woman decided to adopt him.
The Happiest Chapter In Waylon’s Life
As soon as the doggo moved in with Sadie and her family, he made an instant connection with them.
Hungry for love, Waylon spent hours snuggling with his humans and absorbing their affection.
“He’d just crawl right into your lap and just sit there and wouldn’t even move for hours,” Sadie added.
The pup was also introduced to his Labrador Retriever sister, Nellie, and they get along very well.
Ever since Sadie adopted Waylon, she knew that she would get him into Keller Creek.
As soon as the canine received all his due vaccines, he could finally join Nellie and other dogs who enjoyed going to the daycare.
Waylon was overjoyed when he finally got the opportunity to ride in the bus.
It was the realization of his dream.
The canine made many new friends at the daycare. He enjoys playing in the pool and riding on the unicorn float.
Waylon lives his best life with a family who adores him.
