Thinking back to when I had a dog of my own, I remember how social he was, always eager to play with anyone who came his way. Sometimes, I wish I had gotten him a canine friend so he wouldn’t have had to rely solely on us for company.
Even though our presence seemed enough for him at the time, I can’t help but feel that every dog would be happier with a sibling to keep them company all day.
When one couple moved from New Mexico to Colorado, they found themselves in the same situation with their beloved dog.
Back home, she had plenty of furry friends to meet for playdates, but in their new town, she suddenly found herself completely alone. Her parents could see the change in her.
Cambria Was Lonely

“We noticed she was getting lonely and wasn’t herself,” Alisha told The Dodo.
It broke their hearts to see her this way, and they knew they had to do something.
Since they both worked during the day, Cambria was spending most of her time alone in the house. What she needed was a dog sibling to keep her company.
So, the couple made the decision, they would adopt another dog.

The day they brought the new dog home, Cambria somehow sensed it. Her tail wagged wildly, and she jumped up at the door window, trying to get a glimpse.
When they finally walked through the door, she could hardly contain her excitement. That’s when her parents introduced her to Cozy, her brand-new sibling.
“She just could not even believe that this was happening,” Alisha said.
From the very first moments, Cambria welcomed Cozy warmly, and her parents felt confident that the two would become fast friends.
Cambria And Cozy

In the days that followed, the pair began playing, running, and exploring the house together. For Alisha, watching their bond grow was nothing short of heartwarming.
“But, over the next few days, they blended together so well. And it just felt like we had always had Cozy,” she said.
With Cozy in her life, Cambria’s spark returned. The sadness was gone, replaced with her usual joyful energy.
Her parents couldn’t be prouder of how she had embraced her new sibling, and it’s clear the two are now inseparable.

Cambria’s story is a reminder that friendship isn’t just important for people, it’s essential for dogs, too.
They love us deeply, but having another pup around can make all the difference, especially when we’re not home. Just like us, they need companionship to keep their spirits high.
Cambria is now a truly happy doggo, and with Cozy by her side, her life is filled with love, play, and endless joy.
