Jacqui and her husband couldn’t have foreseen that they would save a precious life while they were on their honeymoon.
However, that is exactly what happened.
The California couple was on their way to their hotel when Jacqi’s husband spotted a fluffy white creature on the side of a road.
He pulled over right away, jumped out of his car, and started sprinting toward the place where he saw the little animal that looked like a big caterpillar.
Jacqi stood by the car and watched her husband as he picked up the animal in his arms and ran frantically toward her.
A Kitten Fighting For Life
Once he approached her, Jacqui realized that the mysterious creature was a little white kitten who was injured and needed medical help.
The couple was afraid that the kitten wouldn’t make it, and they rushed her to the vet where she was checked.
The kitten, later named Princess Charmella, Charmy for short, had an injury on her mouth and was also diagnosed with an upper respiratory infection, but luckily, overall, she was in good condition.
The vet prescribed her antibiotics, and the kitten was expected to make a full recovery.
The couple was relieved to know that Charmy would be alright, and they took her to the hotel. They gave her a nice bath and removed the ticks and fleas from her fur.
Jacqi and her husband pampered her with care and cuddled her.
Since the kitten was just a baby, they bottle-fed her around the clock. They took her everywhere they went, and Charmy loved spending time with her rescuers.
She enjoyed her time by the pool, and she even went on romantic dinners with the couple.
Charmy’s Dream Home
Ever since they met her, Jacqi and her husband were determined to keep her and give her a forever home. They were convinced that it wasn’t a coincidence to have met her during their honeymoon.
“We are so happy to have her. She is our wedding gift from the universe,” Jacqi said on TikTok.
Charmy absorbed the affection her new parents showered her with, and she felt better with every passing day.
After their honeymoon, the couple brought her to their California home, and Charmy adjusted to her new life pretty quickly.
The adorable kitten is still young, and she enjoys learning more about the world every day.
Charmy’s parents adore her, and the kitten feels lucky to have them. She still hasn’t fully recovered from her ordeal, but she is getting better.
From a sad and rejected kitten discarded on the side of the road, Charmy became a happy kitten who felt loved and cherished.
