Recently, a Florida couple, Corey and Emma Moriarty, witnessed a pretty bad thunderstorm. While this was a normal occurrence at this time of year, one of their dogs found it frightening.
The Husky named Titan, who normally doesn’t have a fear of thunderstorms, had an unusual reaction this time. The way he hid left his owners and their social media followers in shock.
This Is Where He Was Hiding
When Corey and Emma couldn’t find Titan, little did they know it was due to his fear of the thunderstorm.
“We get really bad thunderstorms in south Florida sometimes and this was actually the first one that affected Titan,” Emma stated in an Instagram post.
They did a little search in the house, only to find this striking Husky pup hiding in the bathtub. To see him all curled up inside while waiting for the thunderstorm to pass was quite a shocking scene for his family.
Titan was extremely scared, and this was the first time his owners had to deal with his fear of thunderstorms.
“He’s not bothered by fireworks or thunderstorms normally but this one really freaked him out for some reason. Hopefully this won’t happen again but we’ll always take care of our boy,” she added.
Then, Corey did the most amazing thing ever! He rushed out, only to return with his favorite blankie and plushie. As soon as he brought them, he slowly got in the tub, gave the pup a few gentle pats on the head, and started comforting him.
This heartwarming situation that the Florida couple posted on their social media platforms soon received thousands of positive comments. People praised Corey’s kindness and care, saying it was the right thing to do in this situation.
“You are the kind of parents that every single dog in the world should have,” one person wrote.
“Love this! If only everyone treated their pets and loved ones like this with love and understanding,” another added.
After almost twenty minutes of being together in the tub, Titan finally decompressed, all thanks to his dad.
