Just because you think you know what your dog is up to doesn’t mean you’re right. Things can get chaotic, especially when it’s the middle of the night and you’re ready to fall asleep.
Katherine Stewart, a student in Indiana, was about to doze off when she was suddenly awakened by an odd, loud noise coming from the crack beside her bed. The sight she found left her stunned and soon laughing out loud!
She Had No Idea What She’d Find
At first, Katherine was in shock. What was making this strange sound and waking her up?
Then it hit her. It was her dog, Cash!
Apparently, Cash had accidentally slipped into the crack while asleep and now was completely stuck.
Seeing him awkwardly trapped with his front paws spread out made Katherine burst into laughter.
Wanting to share his “clumsy moment,” she quickly grabbed her phone and recorded a video of Cash.
“Heard a weird sound in the middle of the night and it just turned out to be my dog stuck in the crack after falling off the bed,” Katherine wrote in the description.
“The way his arms are splayed,” she added.
Unbeknownst to her, Cash’s nighttime mishap was about to go viral on the internet!
The Reactions Were Hilarious
Thanks to his little mishap, Cash, an English Cream Retriever, quickly became a social media sensation! Days before, he was just chilling with his Border Collie sibling, but now hundreds of people were commenting on the video his owner posted.
The comments, as expected, were very funny!
“The arms are taking me OUT,” one person jested.
“This happened to me in college once except I was the one in the crack and there was no dog there to help,” another added.
Some users shared their own similar pet stories:
“Reminds me of the time my dog got stuck UNDER my bed at 1 am and I couldn’t lift my bed and get her out too so I had to go wake up my dad,” the third person wrote.
While some viewers worried about Cash, his mom posted an update saying he was perfectly fine and not hurt at all.
In the follow-up video, she showed Cash eating his favorite treat: blueberries.
“This is Cash and he wants everyone to know he made it out of the crack alive and is enjoying his blueberries,” Katherine wrote.
