When a California couple first heard a strange sound coming from outside their home, they went to investigate and found something truly surprising.
It Was What?!
The noise was coming from their pool’s reservoir, where they spotted a black-feathered animal struggling.
It was a crow, trapped and injured. Valerie, one of the homeowners, shared in a video, “Guys, these birds are going nuts. Their friend is in our pool. They’re trying to get us to save their friend.”
The homeowners were amazed by how loudly the other crows were calling out for their trapped companion. It was a touching moment that showed how much these birds cared.
Valerie and her husband immediately sprang into action. Her husband grabbed a rake and tried to scoop the crow out from under the water.
Valerie carefully tried to soothe the bird so it wouldn’t panic and make rescue attempts more difficult. Within moments, they successfully pulled the crow to safety.
Once on dry land, the crow seemed unable to fly, showing clear signs of injury. Unlike most wild birds, this one did not shy away but allowed the couple to assist it.
He Needed Rehabilitation
Realizing the bird needed medical attention, the couple arranged for rehabilitation to support its recovery.
As the crow’s condition improved, Valerie and her husband prepared to release it back outside.
They noticed several crows gathered nearby, likely waiting for their friend’s return.
They opened the cage and watched as the crow took flight, ready to resume its life. The rescuers were overjoyed to see it soar again.
