California dog mom Lizzy Lambertson recently discovered one of the funniest quirks of all, thanks to her Bulldog, Hank. While most pups beg for belly rubs or tug-of-war, Hank has a very different priority, and it is downright comical.

Saying Hank enjoys attention hardly captures the truth. He is the star wherever he goes. From neighborhood walks and joyful car rides to afternoons at the park, Hank has a magnetic presence that draws people in.
But his life did not begin with applause. Abandoned in Los Angeles, Hank had to overcome a rough start. Thankfully, a caring foster family stepped in and looked after him until his perfect match appeared.

Eight O’Clock Brings The Cheese Ritual
Friends, Hank is a genius. Or perhaps more accurately, a cheesenius.
Every evening, exactly at 8 PM, Hank walks into the kitchen, plants himself in the corner, and stares at the wall. Why? He is placing his order.
“Every night around 8 PM Hank goes to this corner and sits facing the wall. He doesn’t have to potty, he doesn’t want to go outside, he wants cheese,” Lizzy wrote on TikTok.
He will not move or acknowledge anyone until the ritual words are spoken.
“It’s his cheese corner and he won’t respond to you until you say ‘It’s cheese time!’ Then he walks to the fridge and he absolutely gets cheese. He prefers Swiss,” adds Lizzy.
It is his sacred cheese hour, though why he chose 8 PM remains unclear. Lizzy suspects it coincides with her settling in to watch TV, and somewhere along the way Hank connected TV time with cheese time.
He has also mastered a clever trick: pretending he needs to go outside, stepping two paws out the door, then refusing to return until he hears the magic word “cheese.”
This scheme grew from a tradition. Hank receives a cheese reward after walks, and naturally, he added that lesson to his playbook. Smart dog, crafty strategy, and an adorable way to outwit Mom.
TikTok Falls In Love With The Cheese Corner
When Lizzy posted the “corner ritual,” the clip spread quickly across TikTok. Viewers responded with jokes, admiration, and plenty of laughter at Hank’s devotion to dairy.
“This is what they mean saying Bulldogs are stubborn. They’ll sit in silence until they get what they want,” one commenter joked.
“It’s funny how quickly a Bulldog can train their owner,” another added.
Hank’s nightly corner stance is not going anywhere, and honestly, no one would want it to.
The cheese vigil has cemented his place as a TikTok folk hero, and perhaps he will debut another quirky habit soon to keep his audience entertained.
For now, at 8 PM sharp, one Bulldog will be in his kitchen corner, practicing the silent art of cheddar manifestation. Swiss preferred, of course.
