Neighbors Spot A Ball Of Fur Under A Broken Car And Realize It’s A Severely Injured Dog

Suzette Hall has seen it all in her years of rescuing dogs in need. This Californian rescuer witnessed many heartbreaking stories in her missions, each taking a toll.

However, it’s the good cause and love that always push her forward. Seeing the transformation of the dogs once they are cared for is her ultimate reward for all the tears and effort.

With this in mind, Hall responded to another call about a dog that had been hiding under a broken car in an apartment complex. However, the story was much more complex than that.

His Original Hiding Place Was Heartbreaking

A neighbor notified Hall, the founder of Logan’s Legacy, from Irvine, California, about a dog roaming the area for the last couple of days.

His last hiding place was a broken car in a garage, where he tried to stay away from danger. Although the commute wasn’t easy, Hall didn’t think twice.

She drove to the spot within hours. However, when she finally arrived, the dog was nowhere to be found. Hall decided to stick to the area a little longer, assuming he was probably still in the neighborhood.

During her search, she accidentally spotted some strange movements in the bushes next to a long driveway. Seconds later, she realized it was him! It didn’t take long for the rescuer to realize that this was the dog’s original hiding spot.

He spent days there, crying and hoping that someone would eventually help him.

“He was literally in there crying,” Hall wrote in a Facebook post.

Suzette immediately set a humane trap filled with delicious treats and moved away. Unfortunately, the dog refused to enter it, clinging to his “secret spot” in fear. Then, Hall tried another approach.

She grabbed her bite gloves from the van and slowly crawled to the dog, reassuring him that everything would be okay. She slowly gave him a few pats on the back and then pulled him out.

“It was such a tight space. Thank goodness I grabbed my bite gloves and a slip lead from my van,” she added.

The pup fought to escape, still coping with fear, but Hall refused to let go. She knew this was her only chance to save him. And, she took it!

Saved Just In Time

Minutes later, the dog was secured in a crate and on his way to a vet clinic.

After the initial vet check-up, Hall received more surprising news that left her shocked. The pup she just rescued had puncture wounds all over his body. On top of that, the dog was extremely malnourished.

“My vet called and said  ‘I’m so glad you got him here when you did, he has puncture wounds, his gums are white and he’s skin and bones,” Suzette added in the post.

If it wasn’t for her timely response, the dog would’ve probably faced fatal consequences. Now, he has a fighting chance and a future ahead of him.

Once the pup is done with his treatment, he will be available for adoption, and I just can’t wait to see how his future unfolds!
