Helpless Animal Trapped With Its Head Inside A Hole In A Concrete Wall Leaves Rescuers Shocked

Bruce and Sue, the couple from Maui, Hawaii, are used to saving innocent animal lives from all kinds of ordeals.

But, there are times when even they can’t do much. And, this was definitely one of them!

During their feeding route in the neighborhood, the couple’s attention was caught by a distressing scene: a helpless, furry animal stuck with its head inside a hole in a concrete wall desperately trying to get itself out but to no avail.

Although shocked by what they had just witnessed, Bruce and Sue already had a plan in mind.

What Is It

The Hawaiian couple didn’t waste time. They immediately contacted the Maui Humane Society, which deployed an officer in no time. Kaitlyn Mason, from the Department of Humane Enforcement, was on the scene within minutes.

Upon closer inspection, rescuers realized the animal in need was, in fact, a feral cat. She was desperately trying to free herself, yet all she could do at the end was wait for the trio to initiate the rescue mission.

She was indeed stuck, and the little space she had inside the concrete wasn’t enough to feel comfortable.

Instead of pulling her out, Kaitlyn and her helpers needed to think of something else. They didn’t want to pull too hard on her neck and risk causing the cat a fatal injury, so they began to carve out the concrete instead.

“With little space inside the wall and not wanting to risk pulling too hard on her neck, Officer Mason and Bruce began to chisel away at the concrete. After some careful work, they managed to set her free,” Maul Humane Society stated in a Facebook post.

They worked piece by piece until, eventually, they could see the cat’s head.

As a last step, Bruce helped Officer Kaitlyn to safely remove the remaining pieces of concrete from this feline’s neck. And, there she was…finally free and ready to embark upon exciting adventures!

But, Kaitlyn needed to do one more thing.

Just as a precaution, she decided to take the cat, named Kaity (after her hero rescuer), to the vet clinic.

Thankfully, She Is Safe Now

Bruce and Sue waited impatiently for the news about Kaity. Then, the very next day, they were blessed with the most amazing update from Kaitlyn and the MHS crew! Kaity was perfectly healthy and ready to rejoin her feral companions on Bruce and Sue’s property.

“Thankfully, she had no injuries, and after being spayed, she was returned to Bruce and Sue’s property the next day,” MHS added.

The couple was more than eager to embrace Kaity once she was done with her treatment.

As a thank you for being so patient with the rescue, they prepared her a little treat at home that included extra scritches.

Now, with all that behind her, she’s finally ready to pick up where she left off – in her own feral colony chasing adventures with her fellow companions!

Good luck, Kaity. And, try to stay away from trouble this time!
