Gizmo was being returned. When he arrived back at the rescue, volunteers were shocked to see that part of his skin looked worse than ever.
The Animal Pad volunteers and his former foster parents were completely heartbroken. It was incredibly difficult to see him so uncomfortable again.
One volunteer gently comforted the sweet dog, saying, “I know, bubbas, I know. Oh my God.”
