Arriving at the Rescue

Unaware of Her Size

Meeting Moose and Bear
Lily Mouse shares her foster home with two massive dogs named Moose and Bear.
These gentle giants tower over the tiny Chihuahua, but they are incredibly respectful of their little foster sister.
Because Moose and Bear are used to being around rescue dogs, they know exactly how to give her the space she needs to feel comfortable.
The Boss of the House
It didn’t take long for Lily Mouse to establish the pecking order in the house. She frequently prevents the big dogs from coming inside, standing her ground at the door.
She even boldly eats their food right out from under them. "You’re a Chihuahua, not a pit bull," her foster mom jokes as she watches the tiny dog rule the roost.
Being exposed to these large, patient dogs has done wonders for her confidence, ensuring she will be much less fearful and far more social as she grows older.

The love, patience, and socialization Lily Mouse has received in her foster home have set her up for a beautiful future.
She continues to happily boss around her giant foster brothers, Moose and Bear, living every day to the absolute fullest.
