Dogs have a reputation for turning an empty house into total chaos when they are left on their own, with furniture, decorations, and random belongings often paying the price for all that pent-up energy. That was exactly what happened with three dogs in Los Angeles, California, whose unusually calm behavior came with a heartwarming and unexpected explanation.
Tranquil Dogs Enjoying Their Own Calm Routine
Shima Circle returned home to find her house exactly as she had left it, yet she felt the need to check her pet camera for reassurance. As an experienced dog owner, she knew the type of mischief dogs could create when left alone and wanted to witness it firsthand.
The footage revealed a spotless home with no upturned cushions, shredded items, or any indication of typical canine chaos.
What captured her attention most was Whiskey, her Pit Bull-Labrador mix, whose unusual behavior made her laugh and inspired her to share the moment on TikTok @sellwithshima.

Her other two dogs, Toby the Golden Retriever and Biggie the Basenji, also behaved well, which Shima noted was not unexpected.
“They don’t normally cause any mischief when I’m out, but Toby is usually the one who wanders round the house looking for us,” Shima told Newsweek.
Whiskey, however, hardly moved from the couch, and Shima explained the reason.
“I made my own playlist on Apple Music called Dog Therapy, and I play that every time I leave the house. It quickly puts them to bed each time,” Shima said.
Experts agree that this approach aligns with guidance from petMD, which notes that classical music can calm dogs and even create a trance-like state. That was the type of music Whiskey and his siblings were listening to during her absence.

Unsurprisingly, Shima’s video received a large and enthusiastic response online, far exceeding her expectations.
