A call to Luck’s Rescue led the team deep along the trails of Cloudland Canyon State Park in Georgia.
A woman had noticed something out in the woods that felt wrong, and she feared some pets had been abandoned there with almost no chance of surviving on their own.

“I was shocked,” Luck told The Dodo. “They were small and very scared.”
The pups’ fragile bodies were tangled in mats of fur, covered with parasites, and they were too weak to move. They simply stayed still, as if bracing for whatever would happen next.
The team approached slowly, speaking gently and offering food. The dogs accepted the help, their eyes beginning to show signs of hope. They sank lower into the brush, allowing themselves to be carefully lifted into the rescuers’ arms.
“They would not have made it through the night if we didn’t act fast and go and catch them,” Luck shared on Instagram.
