Further testing later confirmed that Gaby had a cyst near her cerebellum. The congenital defect affected her balance and coordination.
Because of where the cyst is located, surgery was not possible. It was something she would carry with her for the rest of her life.
Her neurologist explained that while the cyst impacts how she moves, it is not expected to cause serious harm or pain.
She may stumble or lose her footing from time to time, but her joyful nature never fades. Most importantly, she is content and comfortable.
Today, Gaby shares Debbie’s home with 11 other special-needs dogs, living among companionship, safety, and constant care.
