This devoted dog had placed his full trust in the people he loved, believing they would never leave his side. But when they walked away, leaving him alone in a vacant apartment, everything he knew crumbled.

Rescuers Discover A Dog Left With Nothing
Fortunately, animal control officers arrived and found Hoji inside the abandoned apartment.
The bewildered dog looked up at them with eyes full of sadness, unsure of what was happening.
The officers were deeply moved by the sight. It was clear that Hoji felt betrayed and lost.
His former owners hadn’t left behind a single scrap of food or even a drop of water. He was weak, hungry, and alone.
The officers gently secured him and brought him to City Dogs Cleveland, the adoption and volunteer program of Cleveland Animal Care and Control in Ohio.
At the shelter, Hoji was met with warmth and compassion. The staff wrapped him in care, offering the love he had been missing for so long.
Gradually, Hoji began to feel safe again.
Despite the pain he had endured, he opened his heart to the people around him. He loved spending time with the shelter team.

Still Hoping For A Forever Home
