What began as a normal day quickly turned into the worst day of her life. Her family packed up their things, left their Indiana home, and never returned, abandoning Rain without a second glance.

When no updates came, Bullock made the decision to go herself.
She drove straight to the house and found Rain still sitting on the porch, waiting for the family that had left her behind.

Rain was filthy, her ears showed signs of frostbite, and her skin was covered in painful sores.
As Bullock approached, Rain’s face lit up. She was relieved someone had finally come. But she still hesitated to leave. She kept returning to the front door, hoping someone would let her in.
Bullock didn’t know how long Rain had been living like this. After speaking with neighbors, she learned the dog had been seen near the house for several days.

A scan revealed she had no microchip. Vets estimated she was between two and three years old.
The next morning, Rain moved into her foster home, where several friendly dogs welcomed her into their pack.
