It’s no surprise that devoted pet owners go to great lengths for their companions. But some stories reveal an even deeper connection, like the one between Belly and Hannah.
Hannah first welcomed the tiny Chihuahua, born without front legs, into her foster home. It didn’t take long before she was completely captivated.
Their bond grew stronger when Hannah surprised Belly with something unexpected: a set of Lego wheels. Belly’s journey adjusting to her new mobility soon moved thousands online.
From Hoarding Case To A Foster Home Full Of Love

Belly was just a few days old when she was rescued from a hoarding situation involving numerous dogs. Rags to Riches Animal Rescue, based in Florida, took in every one of them, including Belly, who was missing her front limbs.
“All the puppies came to us, and sweet Belly was one of them,” the rescue wrote on Facebook.

Though Belly was initially supposed to stay with the rescue, it wasn’t long before she found a foster home. Hannah Sanders, a foster volunteer with the Florida organization, reached out and offered to care for Belly temporarily.
She didn’t realize that “temporary” would soon become permanent.

Before long, Hannah and Belly had formed an inseparable bond. The little pup settled in quickly, and it wasn’t long before she became what’s affectionately known as a “foster fail.”
Calling them best friends hardly does justice. They played together, cuddled often, and Belly felt so secure that she began sleeping in Hannah’s bed.
There was just one challenge: Belly couldn’t move around on her own. That’s when Hannah came up with a creative solution that would soon capture hearts everywhere.
A Homemade Wheelchair Sparks Viral Attention

Hannah was determined to help Belly take her first steps, so she crafted a custom wheelchair using Legos.
Though the design wasn’t flawless, the homemade device quickly drew attention on Hannah’s official TikTok. One viewer named Jeff saw Belly’s story and offered to create a 3D-printed set of wheels just for her.
He eventually made four additional sets for Belly, and Hannah documented the journey in a touching video.
“She has come so far. There were a few other sets of wheels through out this time that just didn’t work for her so I don’t include them. Hopefully we will have a brand new set next week,” Hannah stated in the video description.
With each new version, Belly grew more confident. She eventually learned how to move and play independently.
The video went viral, and viewers were deeply moved by Belly’s progress.
“You loved her to the point of invention,” one person stated in the comment section.
Another person shared their emotional message for Belly and Hannah, saying: “Jokes on you; I planned on crying before bed anyway.”
Though Belly still has more wheel designs to try, it’s clear she’s on her way to finding the perfect fit. Until then, this determined little Chihuahua will continue enjoying life with her devoted mom by her side.
