Many people assume that animals are constantly at odds with one another. While this can sometimes be true, it is far from the rule in the animal kingdom.
When it comes to dogs, Pit Bulls often carry the heaviest burden of unfair stereotypes. Many label them as dangerous and unfit for adoption, which leaves countless Pitties waiting in shelters, especially those with special needs.
Yet, time and again, these misconceptions are proven wrong. With love and trust, Pitties have shown themselves to be among the most nurturing companions we could ask for.
One shining example is Evie, a deaf Pit Bull from Pearce, Arizona.
Discovering Her Purpose
Evie lives on a farm with her owners, Allison Thomison and her husband. The couple adopted her a few years ago while they were fostering through Valley of the Sun Dog Rescue, located in Mesa, Arizona.
After moving to their farm, they welcomed a variety of animals, from dogs and puppies to goats and cows. Among them, Evie found her calling—caring for the babies.
She adored the puppies that came through the home, tending to them as if she were their mother. In fact, her care often went beyond what anyone expected. But when there were no more little ones around, Evie suddenly found herself without a role.
That changed when Allison and her husband brought home an orphaned baby goat. They hoped one of their animals would take the fragile goat under their wing, but in their hearts, they believed Evie was the perfect candidate.
And they were right. Despite being deaf and from a different species, Evie immediately showed her loving, motherly side once again.
She stayed close to the baby goat, named Branch, and her presence seemed to comfort him more than anything else. The two quickly became inseparable.
Their beautiful bond was captured in a TikTok video posted by Allison on her account, @farmofmilkandhoney, where the world could witness Evie’s gentle nature.

When Allison uploaded the video of Evie caring for little Branch, she knew people would find it sweet, but she never expected such an overwhelming reaction.
Viewers flooded the comments section with love:
