“Loyalty is a two-way street” could easily describe the story of an abandoned Pitbull and her Yorkie mix best friend from Southern California.
When this sweet duo was spotted lying on the street, they stayed glued to each other’s side. Even with no food or shelter, they seemed to know one thing for sure — they weren’t letting go of each other.
Snuggled Up For Warmth

Suzette Hall, founder of Logan’s Legacy 29 in Irvine, California, got a call about two dogs huddled on the street. The weather was chilly, and the pups kept warm the only way they could — by snuggling close together.

Since no one came forward to claim them after she asked around, Suzette decided to bring the pair to safety herself. The little Yorkie girl was the first to approach, running right into Suzette’s arms as if she had been waiting all along.
The Pittie wasn’t far behind, wagging her tail while keeping her eyes on her tiny friend. Though she refused to wear a leash, she jumped into the car the second she saw the Yorkie settle in the back.
“Most people would have left the pit behind, but not on my watch. I truly have not seen a bond quite like this before,” Suzette wrote on Facebook.
Thelma And Louise – True Partners In Crime

Because of their unshakable bond, Suzette named them Thelma (the Pittie) and Louise (the Yorkie), calling them “partners in crime.” Their loyalty reminded her of the unlikely duo Schwarzenegger and DeVito in Twins.
At first, Suzette tried separating them for safety reasons during the ride, placing Thelma in a crate. But the pair was devastated apart. Louise immediately tried squeezing into the crate with her best friend.
In the end, Suzette let them ride together. Before long, they curled up next to each other and fell fast asleep.

According to locals, the two had been wandering the street for about a week. Life was rough, and they seemed brokenhearted without a home — but at least they still had each other. When Suzette finally rescued them, their joy was undeniable.
Hoping For A Forever Home Together
The first step in their recovery was a vet visit at Camino Pet Hospital in Irvine, California. Louise’s fur was badly matted, while Thelma suffered from a skin rash. Thankfully, both are expected to recover quickly.
Soon, they’ll be ready for foster care or, even better, a forever home.
There’s only one condition — they must be adopted together. After everything they’ve endured, it’s clear these two are inseparable. Hopefully, the perfect family is just around the corner, ready to give Thelma and Louise the home they’ve been waiting for.
