California Pup Tossed From Car Waits For Hours, Hoping Her Family Will Return

Few things feel more rewarding than rescuing a puppy and giving them the chance to live the life they deserve.

Watching their expression slowly change from sadness to joy is priceless. Dogs truly are our best friends, and seeing them happy will always warm the heart.

Suzette Hall has dedicated years of her life to rescue, saving countless dogs from the harsh reality of the streets.

One of her most recent missions involved helping a frightened puppy who had been dumped near a busy swap meet in California.

She Felt Lost And Afraid

When Hall got word that someone had spotted an abandoned puppy near a crowded area, she wasted no time heading there.

Since her rescue van was in the shop, she borrowed her mom’s car and set out with her friend, Rebecca Stranbridge, to track the pup down.

When they arrived, they spotted the little dog sitting by herself, clearly overwhelmed. She froze up at the sight of people, retreating each time anyone tried to approach.

It was heartbreaking to imagine who could abandon such a young pup like this. The fear in her eyes showed just how much she had been through.

Still, Hall and her team refused to give up.

Soon after they arrived, it began to rain, and the frightened pup disappeared, most likely searching for shelter.

After asking around, Hall learned that the puppy visited the swap meet daily, hoping vendors might slip her some food.

Despite her hunger, she never allowed anyone to come close, even those trying to help.

Hall also found out that the puppy sometimes hid in nearby buildings and around the railroad tracks to escape bad weather.

Determined to get her safe, Hall set up a trap in one of the pup’s usual spots. To her disappointment, the puppy never showed up.

She quickly adjusted her plan, placing another trap on the opposite side of the swap meet and asking a vendor to keep watch.

Barely fifteen minutes later, her phone rang. The vendor excitedly told her the pup was inside the trap. Relief washed over Hall.

She rushed back, grateful beyond words to the person who had helped.

The little dog, now named Devine, finally found herself in safe hands as Hall placed her gently into the car.

Her new life had just begun.

While the next chapter of Devine’s journey is still to be written, one thing is certain: Hall will stop at nothing to ensure she finds the loving forever home she deserves.
