Not A Rottweiler After All?
When Ash Monson brought home her puppy, Pluto, she had no doubt about his breed. He was a Rottweiler — or so it seemed.
Pluto grew up in a loving home, cherished by his family and enjoying a wonderful life. But as the months passed, Ash began noticing changes. Her little “Rottweiler” didn’t quite look like one anymore.
Even though Ash knew the truth, people often stopped her to comment on Pluto, confidently calling him a Rottweiler.
To clear things up, she made a lighthearted video with the caption: “When your rottie puppy starts looking less and less like a rottweiler.”
And the truth? Pluto wasn’t a Rottweiler at all. He was a Beauceron — a rare French breed that bears a strong resemblance to Rottweilers.
Internet Reactions
When the clip went viral, the comments section exploded. Many viewers were fascinated by Pluto’s actual breed.
Some even tried to “inform” Ash of what she already knew — that her dog was a Beauceron.
One person wrote: “I don’t know what a beauceron is, but it looks like a lab with rottie paint job.”
It’s certainly a creative description for a breed that many people have never seen before.
