Who doesn’t adore puppies, right?
Well, this story is packed with them – it’s literally PUPPY overload!
In North Carolina, a sweet Great Dane named Meadow made national headlines after welcoming an incredible litter of 15 puppies into the world!
This proud canine mama not only amazed everyone with her babies but also broke a record for the rescue. According to staff, it was the largest litter they had seen in their three years of operating.
And Meadow turned out to be an absolutely wonderful mother!
Shocking Surprise

Nicole Kincaid, the director of Perfectly Imperfect Pups, a foster-based rescue located in Raleigh, North Carolina, explained that Meadow didn’t have the easiest start in life.
At just two and a half years old, this gentle girl arrived at the rescue with “an unsteady past.”
Only two days after she was taken in, Meadow gave birth to her incredible litter – 15 healthy little bundles of joy.
The story quickly spread nationwide, since this was the largest group of puppies ever delivered at the North Carolina rescue.

Meadow had 3 girls and 12 boys – each one perfectly healthy.
Her foster mom, Shari Wilson, couldn’t be happier that this Great Dane was finally safe and able to enjoy motherhood in a loving environment.
The puppies are fed and cared for constantly, with bottle supplements between meals to make sure everyone grows strong. Even though it’s exhausting work, Shari says it’s worth every second.

“Everyone’s gaining weight, everyone’s eating. They’re all doing really well,” says Shari.
The entire PIP team is thrilled to see the puppies thriving. For now, the focus is on their health and care, but when the time is right, each one will head off to a forever home.
Looking For A Furever Home

Nicole first learned about Meadow through a local social media post. The Great Dane was being given away, so she tried to rescue her. But before Nicole could meet her, Meadow was passed on to someone else.
Just days later, those same people reached back out, asking if Perfectly Imperfect Pups could take her in – and Nicole quickly agreed.
By the time she arrived, Meadow had already bounced between five different homes, never given the chance to settle anywhere.
Once her puppies are weaned, the rescue’s goal is to finally find Meadow a permanent home where she will be loved and cherished the way she deserves.

Since the story went national, donations and care packages have poured in from across the country. With 15 hungry mouths to feed, the support has been a lifesaver.
“If you’re able to donate, anything is welcomed. Monetary donations, food donations, we can use whatever people are willing to give,” says Shari.
Thanks to the kindness of strangers and the hard work of the rescue, Meadow and her babies now have the best chance at a bright future.
And soon, each one of them will have a forever family to call their own.
