To be honest, I can barely imagine what it feels like to live as a stray dog.
Life on the streets means wandering through danger, searching for shelter, and digging through trash just to find a bite of food.
And it’s truly heartbreaking!
Thankfully, incredible hoomans like Suzette Hall, founder of the California rescue group Logan’s Legacy, dedicate themselves to saving these animals and giving them the lives they deserve.
That’s exactly what today’s story highlights.
Rescue Mission

After neighbors spotted a puppy roaming their street, they bombarded Hall with phone calls. Without hesitation, the rescuer jumped in her car and headed toward the area.
Because her rescue partner, Mary Nakiso, was already nearby, Hall asked her to rush over and make sure the little pup didn’t disappear.
Fortunately, Nakiso found him exactly where neighbors had reported.
One kind neighbor who had reached out first even offered their yard so the rescuers could catch him safely.
That simple gesture made a huge difference. Within minutes, Hall and Nakiso managed to bring the pup to safety.
They slipped a lead around his head, gently guided him into their car, and drove straight to Camino Pet Hospital.
On the way there, Hall took in the full extent of the poor pup’s condition. His long, filthy fur was completely plastered with stickers. She could only imagine how much pain he felt walking or lying down with those stuck deep in his coat.

At The Vet
As soon as they reached the hospital, the little pup—now named Buss—enjoyed a warm bubbly bath and a desperately needed haircut.

Hall felt grateful to stand beside amazing hoomans who jumped in to help this sweet boy feel so much better.
“I am beyond thankful to my vet and amazing staff who work so hard each day to perform miracles. They never stop helping and they work so hard. I appreciate them so very much,” Hall wrote in a Facebook post.
After his mini spa treatment, Buss looked like an entirely new pup!

Huge thanks go to Hall, Nakiso, and every single person who helped make this rescue possible. They didn’t just save a dog—they gave him a brand-new chance at life.
When the right time comes, I’m sure Buss will catch the heart of a wonderful family who will shower him with love, care, and happiness, helping him blossom into the best doggo he can be.
Thank you!
