California Workers Discover A Pug Abandoned And Begging For Help In A Parking Lot

Pugs are adored for their charm and playful spirits. They brighten homes, bring comfort in hard times, and never fail to entertain. Who wouldn’t want one nearby to lift their mood?

Sadly, not everyone feels the same.

One heartless owner abandoned their Pug in a lonely industrial parking lot in California, far away from food, water, and shelter. Thankfully, workers in the area noticed his struggle and stepped in.

Betrayed And Left Behind

The small Pug, later named Bobby by the workers, had been left all alone, betrayed by the person he trusted most.

The spot where he was abandoned had no homes nearby, only businesses. With no resources to survive, Bobby tried to get by while keeping his distance from everyone.

“Just a little pug abandoned. No houses around for miles, just businesses. He had been there for a few days, he wouldn’t let the employees get him,” Suzette Hall wrote in a Facebook post.

Despite his fear, the workers showed compassion. They gave him food and even left an old T-shirt so Bobby could have something soft to sleep on.

“One employee left his shirt for him so he could have a bed, and they would feed him when they could,” Hall added.

Wanting more for him, they reached out to Suzette Hall, founder of Logan’s Legacy and longtime rescuer from Irvine, California.

She came right away, determined to bring Bobby to safety no matter how long it took.

A Careful Rescue Brings Him To Safety

Hall quickly realized Bobby was far too frightened to be caught directly. So instead of approaching him with a catchpole, she set up a humane trap, filling it with food to tempt him inside.

At first, Bobby hesitated. So Hall tried something different.

“I realized that he was not going into the front of the trap so I did something I’ve never done before I tricked him. I shut the front of the trap and I opened up the back and I crawled in a couple times to show him that it was safe,” Hall wrote.

Bobby’s hunger eventually won out. While he focused on eating, Hall gently closed the door behind him. He didn’t panic. Instead, he seemed relieved that someone had finally stepped in to help.

Hall carefully loaded Bobby into her car and brought him straight to the hospital for a checkup.

The next step is to find a foster home where Bobby will finally know what it feels like to be loved and cared for. For the first time, his future looks brighter.

Good luck, Bobby!
