Being quirky is not something reserved only for people. Animals have their moments too, and our beloved pets are no exception.
From bouncing around wildly to making goofy faces, dogs are known for their silly antics. Cats, however, often show their quirks in a more mysterious and sometimes even eerie way.
One woman from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania witnessed this firsthand when she noticed her cat appearing in her bedroom at night.
But the cat wasn’t there for her, she was there for the dog.
Mysterious Nightly Encounter
The woman, who shares her story on TikTok as @lindzaceto, soon realized something unusual was happening. In the middle of the night, her cat Hermione would quietly sneak into the room where both she and her dog Wilson were sleeping.
At first, she assumed Hermione wanted attention from her, but it quickly became clear that Wilson was the real target.
With careful steps, Hermione would approach Wilson and give him a subtle look, almost like a signal. Instantly, Wilson would spring from his crib and obediently follow her.
He often glanced back at his owner as if pleading for help, but he never dared resist Hermione’s summons. That left his owner baffled, with no choice but to watch.
Curious and confused, she finally decided to record the encounters and post them online.
In the caption of the video, she wrote: “I have so many questions 🤔.”
The video spread quickly, and viewers were just as intrigued. “I don’t think the dog is safe, “I don’t think the dog is safe,” one user wrote, while the other added: “the dog looking back like he’s being forced against his will to go.”
The third quipped: “Oh you need a camera in the living room to see what they are up to in there,” to which the owner replied: “I followed them last night, part 2 is posted!”
“A Secret Meeting”
In reply to the curious commenter, the owner later posted another update, writing: “Caught them having a secret meeting 🤔”
In this new video, filmed again in the Pennsylvania home, Hermione is seen guiding Wilson out of the bedroom in the dead of night. But this time, their owner quietly trailed behind to discover what they were doing.
She found her cat and dog lying together in a comfy crib in another room, and wrote in the video: “Looks like I interrupted a private convo.” As soon as she saw her, Hermione ran away from Wilson, while he gave his owner an embarrassed look.
In the end, there was nothing dark or strange about their outings. The two just wanted to share some quiet time together, away from everyone else.
If their owner had known, she never would have disrupted them. But next time Wilson vanishes from the bed, she will already know where he is.
Safe, and right where Hermione wants him.
