When Rachel first brought Daisy into her life, she could never have imagined how much her world would change. Very quickly, Daisy became everything to her, and the two grew inseparable.
Daisy Holds A Special Place
Because of Rachel’s deep love for her dog, she always made sure Daisy felt safe and cared for. Daisy was adored by many people, and she loved them right back.
Friendly with almost everyone, Daisy had no trouble meeting people in bustling New York. But Rachel still carried one worry in her heart: would her future partner get along with Daisy?
That concern melted away once she met Phil.
As the relationship blossomed, Daisy warmed to him immediately. She not only accepted him but seemed to adore him.
Rachel told The Dodo: “However, about six months into Phil living with us, I think Daisy started to get more attached to him than she was to me. She almost always says hello to him first if we come home at the same time!”
For Rachel, seeing Phil and Daisy bond so easily was a dream come true. With their connection so strong, Phil began to think about their future together.
A Proposal With Two Surprises
Phil soon made the decision to propose to Rachel, but he also wanted Daisy to be part of this milestone.
Rachel had once mentioned that it would be sweet if her dog also received a ring, though she never imagined Phil would actually make it happen.
She said: “I didn’t know he had actually researched and found a little toy ring in a perfect toy ring box, but I wasn’t surprised he followed through. My soulmate would know how important my soul dog is to me, and that including her in our special day would make it that much more special for me.”
When the moment arrived, Phil proposed not only to Rachel but also offered Daisy her own little ring. Both mom and pup accepted immediately.
If there had been any nervousness about the proposal, Daisy’s joyful response instantly washed it away.
Rachel ends by saying: “She was clearly very excited and did her best to wait patiently until the ring was given to her. I think a lot of girls can relate to that during their proposals!”
The excitement on Daisy’s face showed that this day belonged to her as much as to her mom. Rachel couldn’t have been happier, knowing her beloved dog was included in such a meaningful way.
Together with Phil, they now move forward as a family of three, grateful for the love and companionship that brought them here.
