Ohio Woman Adopts A Puppy, Then Discovers Her Sister’s Shocking Condition

A woman scrolling through a Facebook group for re-homing pets came across a puppy in need of a new family. What began as a happy adoption soon turned into something much more complicated. The story didn’t end with just one dog.

After adopting Lovey, a Great Dane Poodle mix, Wrenatha thought she had welcomed a healthy, playful puppy into her family. But when she went back for Lovey’s sister, she was faced with a heartbreaking surprise.

Instead of being joyful about bringing the two siblings together, Wrenatha was horrified. The second puppy, who she later named Noodle, was in alarming condition, showing clear signs of neglect and malnourishment.

Could these two sisters still have a chance at a bright future together? Or was Wrenatha too late to change the course of Noodle’s life?

A Puppy Sister In Dire Condition

While browsing Facebook, Wrenatha came across a pet re-homing group based in Ohio. There, she found a nine-week-old puppy in search of a family. That pup, who would soon be named Lovey, was up for adoption because her current owner claimed she and her sister were simply too much to handle.

An experienced dog owner, Wrenatha gladly took Lovey home. Lovey adjusted quickly, seeming happy, playful, and full of energy, just like any other puppy.

But Lovey needed someone to match her playfulness. Wrenatha’s two older dogs weren’t interested in romping with her, so she contacted the original owner to see about adopting the sister as well.

The woman agreed, saying the other puppy was available. They arranged to meet in a parking lot, but something felt wrong the moment Wrenatha saw her. The woman clutched the puppy tightly, then handed her over quickly before driving away.

In Wrenatha’s arms was a frail, emaciated pup in heartbreaking condition. The woman brushed it off, saying the puppy was just a picky eater who sometimes skipped meals.

But the reality was far worse. The puppy, later named Noodle, could barely stand. At the vet, she was diagnosed with worms, despite her owner’s claim she had been dewormed.

Her paws were infected from being left in filthy conditions, and her legs had grown bent from being confined in a crate for too long. Everything pointed to prolonged neglect.

Was Wrenatha too late to save Noodle and give her the second chance she desperately needed?

Two Sisters Finally Safe Together

Good news soon followed from Wrenatha’s home in Ohio.

Within just a few days, Noodle began improving. She started gaining weight, her legs slowly straightened, and her energy returned. Her once fragile frame was now showing signs of life and strength.

Both sisters were finally in the loving home they deserved. With Wrenatha’s house full of animals already, it was clear they would never lack affection or care.

Months later, Wrenatha shared updates on TikTok, showing how much the sisters had thrived. Noodle had gained 15 pounds and was bursting with energy.

“She is a definite cuddle bug. She likes to come up to you or anybody that’s around her and introduce herself or get pet and loved on. You can just tell that she feels relaxed and tell that she feels happy and just she can feel we love her,” said Wrenatha for We Love Animals.

It was hard to imagine how her first owner ignored her declining state and even tried to cover it up. Luckily, Noodle’s story took a different turn when she was reunited with Lovey.

Now, both puppies live happily with Wrenatha, surrounded by love, comfort, and the joy every dog deserves.
