It’s heartbreaking to think of how many dogs are abandoned each day. Left confused and alone, they wonder why the person they trusted most suddenly didn’t want them anymore.
In some areas, the problem is so common that you can see abandoned dogs almost anywhere.
That’s exactly what happened to a man from Southern California, USA, who returned home to find a puppy tied to his fence with a note beside her.
A Puppy Left With A Note

Completely caught off guard, he approached the little dog, one he had never seen before.
She perked up her ears and wagged her tail in relief, happy someone had finally come to help her.
Next to her was a small bag with what seemed to be all of her belongings, along with a handwritten note placed on top.
The note read:
“Free dog, needs a good home.”

Even the small dog who already lived there seemed surprised to see this new furry visitor.
The man didn’t know who had left her there or how long she’d been tied up, but he quickly realized she needed help.
He shared a photo of the puppy and the note on social media, hoping someone would step in.
Thankfully, the post reached Suzette Hall, founder of Logan’s Legacy dog rescue in Irvine, California.
She acted right away, sending two volunteers who rushed over to pick up the abandoned pup.
The puppy still wore her harness, and the bag was filled with her favorite toys and food. When the volunteers arrived, the little dog lit up with joy and gratitude.
“She was so excited, she just melted in their arms,” Hall said.
Hoping For A Forever Family

Hall’s team brought the puppy, now named Halo, to Camino Pet Hospital for a full check-up.
The vets determined she was a four- to six-month-old Corgi/Sheltie mix. To their surprise, she was completely healthy.
“She was spotless,” Hall noted. “She didn’t have a single flea on her.”
It was clear her previous owners had cared for her, though the reason they left her tied to a stranger’s fence instead of a shelter will likely remain unknown.

Not even a year old, Halo had already faced a difficult experience. Suzette promised that she would make sure Halo found the loving home she deserved.
“She’s just a love. I can’t wait for her to finally be home,” Hall said.
Halo hasn’t been adopted yet, but a sweet girl like her is sure to find a family soon — one that will never leave her behind.
