Washington Owner Checked On Her Shy Dog Who Was Staying At A Daycare Only To Burst Out Laughing

Every dog in some way mimics the personality of its owners, or perhaps it’s more correct to say that they will adapt to our moods and be there when we need them the most.

Some pups recognize when we need them, so they will give us hugs and kisses, while others recognize that we need space and will just relax on their own.

What’s even more surprising is to see dogs who are actually shy and more ‘withdrawn’ because they are not used to socializing with other dogs.

Well, this story will provide us with such a great example of that when this owner from Washington went to check on her dog who was in a daycare only to see something surprising.

She Couldn’t Contain Her Laughter

When Nicole Williams first took in her dog, Pixie, she realized pretty early that this sweet pup had severe separation anxiety.

Even early on, Pixie would bark constantly whenever her mom would leave her at the house on her own.

And this didn’t even happen too often. Nicole worked from home, but Pixie still refused to be away from her mom, even for short periods of time. This was a big problem.

She didn’t want her beloved dog to feel like this, so she thought that sending her to a daycare might actually help her.

I mean, she gets to be with other people, and she can also meet other dogs. While she is naturally shyer, Nicole believed that this would be no problem for her.

However, when she checked the live video feed from the daycare, she was stunned by what she saw. Apparently, Pixie just sat in the corner on her own and looked awkward.

Naturally, this made her mom laugh, but at the same time, she felt sad that she was not socializing too much.

Regardless, it’s clear that she feels safer and at ease when she is around other people or dogs, so this is pretty good therapy for her.

TikTok Responses

After witnessing everything unfold, this owner from Washington posted the clip from the daycare live video feed on her TikTok channel.

One person commented: “My heart hurts for this adorable, precious fur baby. Being an introvert is tough!!!

Yeah, I can also relate to her. It’s not easy. This clip was both funny and sad because her awkwardness makes it funny, but she also looks like she is sad.

Another person said: “She looks comfy just hanging out alone and observing. She could join if she really felt the need or wanted to but she’s not being isolated or punished or bullied. She’s my kind of doggie and she will attract her friend match group.

Yeah, I have a feeling that this might be how she prefers it, although I could be wrong. If Pixie feels like joining the other dogs, she probably will.

Lastly, somebody commented: “Get her a brother or sister for companionship. Daycare is torture for her.

I don’t necessarily agree with this, but one thing that could help Pixie was if she had a sibling. It’s helped many dogs heal from separation anxiety and it might actually work for her.

Perhaps the only thing Pixie needs is some time, patience, and a companion. I hope she finds the strength to overcome this problem.

Pixie might just be the most awkward dog there is. Luckily she’s made great strides with her separation anxiety and doesn’t need daycare anymore ❤️ dogsoftiktok, awkwarddogs, petsoftiktok, funnydogs, #doghumor
