It’s shocking to see how many dogs end up on the street even though they have spent years with their owners.
I keep wondering, what could possibly drive owners to abandon their pups, and in such a cruel way at that? Surely surrendering them to the shelter is a better idea, but some don’t care enough to do even that.
By doing that, you are giving them a chance to start over with someone who will actually care for them, but that’s not the reality in a lot of situations.
In fact, this dog that the rescuers saved had a similar problem; however, the story surrounding his origin was even more shocking.
A Mysterious Origin

After taking in Baby Bear, the kind rescuers from the West Virginia shelter decided to do a thorough examination before admitting him.
They were able to find a microchip, but that small device was carrying a shocking truth about Baby Bear’s life.
The microchip traced back all the way to SPCA Florida, so they contacted them for more information. The Florida rescuers told them that they hadn’t traced it back to the original owner.

This confused them a lot, as somehow, this sweet pup ended up hundreds of miles away from the shelter. It was truly shocking.
Shortly after, they tried contacting the owners, but they had no success. Nobody responded. The rescuers knew that the time was short.
The shelter in West Virginia did not have a no euthanasia policy, so this pup’s time was slowly running out. They needed to do something about him.
A Hero Pilot

One man, a pilot, decided to act. In his free time, he decided to fly Baby Bear back to the shelter in Florida where he could be safe.
When he was transported to the shelter in Florida, you could even tell that he enjoyed the flight there. He could hardly contain his excitement when the rescuers came to pick him up.
While it was going to take a while, everyone breathed a sigh of relief knowing that his future was at least a little more secure.

While he still doesn’t have a home, and the story surrounding his original owners is shrouded in mystery, the rescuers will do their best to change that.
They might not be able to track down his real parents, but they can take their time to find a family worthy of his love.
Hopefully, whoever adopts him next will do their best to give him the life that he always deserved. After going through an immense heartbreak, this was the best thing that could happen to him.
