A Walk In The Woods With A Georgia Therapy Dog Turns Into A Surprising Discovery

After spending many years around dogs, I’ve realized that therapy dogs are among the kindest and most compassionate companions.

Their training focuses on comforting humans in need, yet their care often extends to other animals as well.

This story shares the experience of a courageous therapy dog who stumbled upon something unusual in the woods, surprising his owner in the process.

Banner, The Compassionate Therapy Dog

For most of his life, Banner has been a therapy dog in Georgia, supporting people who needed comfort the most.

He has spent years with his owner, Whitney Braley, providing assistance during her PTSD episodes and anxiety attacks.

Whitney immediately recognized his gentle nature and knew he only wanted to be by her side.

One day, while strolling in the woods near their home, Banner noticed something unusual. He quickly ran back to Whitney, as if urging her to follow him.

Together, they walked into the forest where Banner stopped at a plastic, sealed box that appeared to contain something inside.

A Heartfelt Discovery For Whitney

When Whitney opened the box, she found seven newborn kittens abandoned in the middle of the forest.

Knowing she couldn’t leave them behind, she brought them home with Banner, where they carefully nursed the tiny kittens back to health.

Banner acted as a guardian for the kittens, keeping a close watch over them to ensure they were safe and cared for.

It took time, but the kittens eventually recovered fully, thanks to the care and dedication of this incredible duo.

Once the kittens were healthy, Whitney arranged for them to be adopted into loving homes across Georgia.

While the circumstances that led to their abandonment remain unknown, it’s certain that all seven kittens eventually found permanent families, giving them the future they deserved.
