Georgia Shelter Dog Scheduled To Be Put Down Refuses To Leave Worker’s Side

Georgia Shelter Dog Scheduled To Be Put Down Refuses To Leave Worker’s Side

All stray dogs long to be loved and to have a roof over their heads. T-Rex was no different.

When the eleven-month-old puppy wound up alone in a grocery store parking lot, all he could do was hope someone would help him.

When T-Rex saw a kind person, he went over to them as if begging to be taken off the streets.

The Good Samaritan called for help, and T-Rex was taken to Fulton County Animal Services, a shelter in Atlanta, Georgia.

The pup hoped his life would improve. He had no way of knowing that bad things can happen even inside shelters.

Upon arriving at the shelter, T-Rex was terrified. He was not used to the noisy environment.

The shelter staff worked to calm him. After spending time with him, they realized he was an affectionate pup full of love.

He just needed a family to take him home and give him all the cuddles he wanted.

Sadly, instead of finding that loving home, T-Rex was placed on the euthanasia list.

The puppy clung to his favorite shelter worker as if he sensed what awaited him. He wore a heartbreaking expression as he tried to hide behind the worker’s leg.

The shelter worker stroked the frightened pup, offering comfort and affection.

The TikTok account, @rescueme_atl, run by volunteers who spotlight animals at risk of euthanasia in Atlanta, shared T-Rex’s video and story.

The volunteers appealed for someone to rescue the pup and give him a forever home.

Viewers of the heartbreaking clip were devastated and hoped T-Rex would be saved in time.

The Pup Is Safe

Fortunately, a generous person volunteered to foster T-Rex, saving him from euthanasia.

T-Rex left the Georgia shelter with renewed hope for the future.

His shelter friends were relieved that he was safe.

After a few days in his foster home, T-Rex became unwell and his foster family rushed him back to the shelter clinic. The veterinary team cared for him and he began receiving treatment.

I hope that he will get back on his paws very soon and that he will meet his ideal family.

T-Rex is just a puppy who dreams of having a family that adores him. That’s all he needs to be happy.
