California Woman Brave Enough To Save Matted Dog From Busy Roadway Learns The Truth About Who She Really Is

A small pup with fur matted into heavy dreadlocks was frightened as she tried to cross a busy California road, surrounded by fast-moving cars.

She desperately needed help, but it seemed no one was willing to offer her kindness, much less step in to save her.

Passing drivers ignored her, speeding by as though she wasn’t even there.

Luckily, Yami Nuñez, a volunteer at Logan’s Legacy 29, happened to be driving down that same road when she spotted the severely matted dog dodging traffic.

Terrified something terrible might happen, the caring woman pulled over, stepped out, and brought traffic to a stop. She was determined to help the little pup.

Naturally, the dog was tense and wary, but Yami stayed patient and eventually managed to secure her with a leash.

Relieved the pup was safe, Yami took her to Camino Pet Hospital, not knowing the backstory she was about to uncover.

The vet team greeted the dog warmly and quickly realized how sweet she truly was.

While examining her, they located a microchip containing a phone number.

When they called it, the dog’s family answered. Once told their pet was safe, the family was stunned.

It turned out the dog, named Bella, had been missing for two months.

Her family had searched everywhere and put up flyers, but she had vanished without a trace.

As the weeks passed without news, they began to fear she might never return.

“Bella had been missing for 2 months. They literally couldn’t believe she was found alive,” Suzette Hall wrote on Facebook.

Everyone at the clinic, including Hall, was overjoyed to know Bella had a loving family eager to see her again.

Before the reunion, Hall brought Bella to the groomer for a much-needed makeover.

With her fur neatly trimmed and her coat cleaned, she was ready to go home. Hall then drove her to her waiting family.

The moment Bella saw her humans and her dog siblings, she wagged her tail excitedly, her joy undeniable.

Her family burst into tears, rushing to embrace and cuddle her.

Hall was touched by the scene.

“Oh my goodness, there wasn’t a dry eye. She instantly recognized her family and her dog family. I can’t explain the joy,” Hall added.

After weeks of wandering the streets of California, Bella was finally home again — exactly where she belonged.

Thanks to Yami Nuñez, who stepped in when others didn’t, Bella got the happy ending she deserved.
