When an adorable deaf Pit Bull named Evie kept staring at a broken-down truck, her mom, Allison Thomison, didn’t think much of it.
Since they live on a 300-acre farm in rural Arizona, it wasn’t unusual for Evie to lock eyes on a wild creature like a rattlesnake or Gila monster and watch it intently.
However, when she wouldn’t tear her gaze away from the vehicle Thomison’s husband was repairing, her human decided it was time to check it out.
Shocking Discovery

Thomison didn’t even need to get right up to the truck to see what had Evie so captivated.
She was staring at a tiny cat! And, much to Thomison’s astonishment, she instantly recognized who this feline was.
A few weeks earlier, Thomison had noticed a kitten shadowing her cat, Noodle, at every turn, and they looked identical!
But since Noodle was a neutered male, Thomison couldn’t tell if it was mere coincidence or if they truly were related.

Still, she chose to call the newcomer Mini-Me. Then, as mysteriously as he’d appeared, Mini-Me vanished, until Evie revealed his secret hideaway.
Hide And Seek
Because the truck’s engine had been removed for repairs, there was ample room for a little cat to curl up comfortably.

Getting Mini-Me out proved tricky. He eyed Thomison warily and made it clear he had no intention of moving anytime soon.
“He was very spicy … Then he suddenly realized that we were there to help him and we weren’t going to hurt him, so he came out,” Thomison told The Dodo.
Fortunately, he’s taken to socializing with Thomison’s other three cats, and she jokes that Evie’s discovery in the truck is really how she wound up with an extra cat!

But even though Evie found him, Mini-Me remains unimpressed.
“He swipes at Evie every chance he gets,” Thomison said.
Cat’s Will Be Cats
Mini-Me now enjoys a loving home that provides everything he needs, including his own corner in an air-conditioned barn.
Yet, being a cat, he resists being told where to go or what to do.
“He prefers his truck. He’s kind of like Oscar the Grouch [with] his little trash can … he just loves being in there,” Thomison concluded.
