All shelter dogs crave companionship and love.
While all pups enjoy going on walks, some express their excitement without restraint while others remain composed and relaxed.
Marvel, the shelter pup from today’s story, belongs to the former group. Recently he kicked the excitement up a notch and surprised the shelter staff with his move.
It all happened when a volunteer at the Atlanta Humane Society in Georgia collected Marvel from his shelter kennel and was about to take him for a walk.
Nobody could have predicted what Marvel would do next.
Security Camera Captured The Scene
Having realized that the volunteer was taking him outside, Marvel was thrilled. He started jumping up and down while wagging his tail.
Just as the volunteer was about to open the front door, Marvel jumped again and accidentally hit the fire alarm with his paws.
The pup turned towards the camera, paused a little bit as if to check what was going on.
Moments later, he was ready to leave the shelter and go for his much-needed walk.
Since the shelter staff didn’t know what had happened, they evacuated.
Once they realized that it was all a misunderstanding, everyone was relieved.
The Georgia shelter shared the security camera footage on Instagram, joking that activating the fire alarm was Marvel’s way of attracting a future adopter’s attention.
“We thought he was an ordinary pup… until he activated full-blown chaos mode. We think he made the entire Atlanta shelter evacuate just to get your attention. Come adopt him so he can finally chill,” the Atlanta Humane wrote on Instagram.
The video garnered massive attention on Instagram and brought joy to everyone who watched it.
“What a good helper, making sure y’all are doing your regular fire drills,” one comment read.
“What a good boy. He wants to make sure everyone is fire prepared,” the other user added.
“He is SO PROUD of himself,” a third user said.
Marvel Hopes To Find A Place To Call Home
Despite the popularity of the video, Marvel is still waiting for his forever home.
He is an energetic dog who longs to leave the shelter for good and start a new life with his forever humans.
While Marvel is always up for an adventure, he also has an adorable side. The delightful pup has a lot of love to give.
He is part of the Foster First program, which gives potential adopters two weeks to foster him before adopting just to be sure it’s the right match for everyone.
