Remember the nerves and uncertainty of sending your pup off to daycare for the very first time? I sure do!
Recently, it was Bauer’s turn to experience his first “see you soon” at a Florida daycare, and his parents were curious how their little guy would take it.
When pickup time rolled around, Bauer’s dad waited outside the door to greet him—and decided to film the moment without realizing how quickly it would capture hearts all across the internet.
I Really Missed You, Dad
One thing was crystal clear: Bauer missed his dad—even though it had only been a single day.
When Florida dog dad Corey Moriarty arrived at the daycare, he could hardly wait to lay eyes on his pup—and to hear what the staff had to say about his day. He stood waiting as Bauer came out with his handler, ready to say hello, but what happened next turned a normal pickup into something much more special.
The second Bauer spotted Corey, he dashed forward in a frenzy of tail wags and love, throwing himself into his dad’s arms like he hadn’t seen him in years. He licked Corey’s face nonstop as if to say, “Where have you been all day?!”
Corey shared the sweet moment on his family’s TikTok page, The Moriarty Family and it didn’t take long for the video to go viral.
“The way he carries his leash like “I’m ready let’s go home!” He had literally the best time and was the best boy,” the video description reads.
Bauer’s followers couldn’t get enough of his heartwarming reaction!
“I feel like he’s such a dad boy,” one person commented.
“Anyone that says your pets are not your children… show them this video!! That baby is so excited to see you,” another added.
And while Bauer clearly missed his dad, his first day away was a hit. According to his caregivers, he charmed everyone he met—and made plenty of new buddies along the way.
A Brand-New Member Of The Crew
While his daycare debut was a major milestone, Bauer’s everyday life is just as full of joy and adventure!
Emma and Corey adopted Bauer after already welcoming three big pups into their home: two Huskies named Blue and Titan, and a Golden Retriever named Maverick. The family also includes two cats, Zeus and Storm. Now, with Bauer in the mix, their pack is officially complete.
Even though he’s the youngest in the bunch, this spirited Golden Retriever brings a whole lot of personality with him wherever he goes.
He’s endlessly goofy, always playful, and brings laughter with every silly antic.
Whether he’s roughhousing with his dog siblings, snuggling up with his parents, or running around outside, Bauer is living the dream.
Calling him “just a dog” wouldn’t even come close. He’s family, he’s a little spark of sunshine—and he’s the star of every video. I can’t wait to see what this lovable guy shares with us next.
