Mother’s love knows no limit and is everlasting. Her happiness entirely depends on the well-being of her children.
When they are in danger, the mother fights with all her might to keep them safe and protect them at all costs.
A mama dog from Tennessee fought for her babies, too. She was one of the many dogs who had been betrayed by humans and discarded without any compassion.
Without having anyone by her side, she found a shelter by a creek where she gave birth to her twelve furbabies.
She showered them with love and did her best to keep them alive, hoping for the best.
Their Luck Changes For The Better
When Sarah Kodad, a local rescuer, heard about the abandoned mama dog and her twelve puppies, she felt heartbroken for them and knew she would do anything to help them.
“[I felt] sad and angry that another dog had been dumped,” Kodad told The Dodo.
She’s been an animal advocate for a long time, and she’s upset whenever she learns that somebody betrayed the innocent puppies who give nothing but love to humans.
“They’re such loyal companions, who give their all for their humans or families. It’s not fair for them to be tossed away or mistreated,” Kodad added.
The kind-hearted rescuer successfully tracked the doggo’s movements through the area and located the place where the canine family was hiding.
Once she arrived by the creek and saw the babies for the first time, her heart shattered as she realized that unfortunately, one of the puppies had crossed the rainbow bridge.
Kodad collected the mama dog and her puppies and placed them in her car, promising them that everything would be all right.
Once she realized she and her puppies were safe, the mama dog breathed a sigh of relief and smiled.
Kodad started setting up care for the mama and her babies.
She reached out to Rubies and Rogues, a nonprofit dedicated to community support and animal welfare, asking for help.
One of the team members at the organization connected Kodad with a foster family who wholeheartedly welcomed the canine family into their home.
The mama dog feels relaxed because she can finally tend to her puppies in a loving home. She doesn’t have to struggle by herself and worry if she would have enough food to feed her puppies.
A New Beginning
Kodad shared the story of the canine family on Facebook.
When a kind man named Joel from Colorado saw the photo of the mama dog and learned her story, he felt a deep connection to her.
Sadly, Joel recently lost his beloved dog, and he now wanted to give all his love to the abandoned mama dog.
He filled in the adoption application and was approved.
As soon as the puppies are weaned off, Joel will drive to Tennessee to pick up doggo and take her to her forever home.
I’m certain that the sweet puppies will find their happiness once they are available for adoption.
