A little pup with fur tangled in dreadlocks felt scared of the speeding cars as she was trying to cross a busy road in California.
She badly needed help, but there seemed to be nobody who was willing to show her any kindness, let alone jump to her aid.
The drivers ignored her and passed her by like she was invisible.
Fortunately, Yami Nuñez, one of the volunteers at Logan’s Legacy 29, was driving around the same road when she spotted the severely matted dog dodging cars.
Terribly worried that something would happen to her, the kindhearted woman stepped out of her car and stopped the traffic. She was committed to saving the little dog.
You’re Safe Now

Understandably, the pup was distrustful and stressed, but Yami didn’t give up on her and eventually managed to secure her with a leash.
The kind volunteer breathed a sigh of relief because the pup was safe.
As Yami drove her to Camino Pet Hospital, she couldn’t have imagined the dog’s backstory and the discovery that was about to be made.
At the clinic, the vet team treated the pup affectionately and realized how sweet she really was.
While they were examining the dog, they found a microchip with a phone number.
When the vet team called the number, the dog’s family answered. Once the team told them that their dog was safe and sound, the family was in shock.
As it turned out, their pup, Bella, had been missing for two months.
The family looked for her everywhere and put up flyers, hoping to find her, but unfortunately, the dog disappeared without a trace.

As weeks passed without any news of Bella, her family began losing hope that their beloved pet was alive.
“Bella had been missing for 2 months. They literally couldn’t believe she was found alive,” Suzette Hall wrote on Facebook.
Everyone at the clinic, including Hall, was thrilled that the dog had a loving family who couldn’t wait to reunite with her.
Bella’s Emotional Reunion With Her Family

Hall took Bella to the groomer’s in order to get a much-needed makeover before she reunited with her family.
Once the pup got cleaned up and had her fur trimmed, she was ready to return home. Hall drove her to her humans, who were eagerly waiting to see her again.
As soon as Bella arrived home and saw her family and her doggy siblings, her heart fluttered with joy, and she started wagging her tail.
Bella’s family broke down in tears and rushed to her side, hugged her, and cuddled her.

Hall was moved to witness the dog’s emotional reunion with her family.
“Oh my goodness, there wasn’t a dry eye. She instantly recognized her family and her dog family. I can’t explain the joy,” Hall added.
Bella was the picture of happiness. After wandering the lonely California streets for weeks and fighting to stay alive, she found her way back home, and that’s all she wanted.
Thank you to Yami Nuñez for jumping to Bella’s aid when everyone else ignored her. You’re our hero!
