One thing that is really disheartening to see is a kind pup who was dealt a bad hand throughout life, and then they lose all hope.
They don’t even try to search for help. They just kind of shut down and isolate themselves. The pups will take whatever food they are given, but they won’t try to befriend anyone.
It shows us just how prolonged periods of neglect by humans can affect dogs in ways that we can’t even comprehend.
When this sick pup was reported by a kind person, a rescuer from California named Suzette Hall quickly intervened.
Hall Reacted Quickly
After receiving word about a dog hiding under a car, Hall prepared her gear, some treats, and rushed to find the dog immediately.
She was able to locate him pretty quickly. After asking around about the dog, the only thing she was able to learn in a short time was that he had been there for a day.
Not much else was known about his past, but it’s safe to assume that he was probably abandoned by a former owner who didn’t want him.
When she looked at him, Hall realized how sad he was, and it was almost like he didn’t have any will to keep going.
He was also pretty timid when he saw the kind rescuer come to help him, but it didn’t alarm him to the point that he would run away.
Hall took a leash and tried to place it around his neck. He resisted her briefly, but eventually, she was successful, and that was a step in the right direction.
Panda Needs To Pull Through
She very slowly nudged him out of his hiding spot, and he followed her. Then, she placed him in a kennel and transported him to the veterinarian clinic in California.
His behavior was odd, so they were almost certain that he was sick. They just had no idea what the exact problem was.
The veterinarian did a thorough examination and came to the conclusion that this adorable pup, now named Panda, had parvovirus.
Treatment for the virus was actually pretty expensive, so Hall reached out to her followers on her Facebook account because she wanted to help this pup get a second chance.
After going through so much, he deserves a warm home and a loving family, so she will do everything in her power to help him out.
While we don’t have any information on what happens next in Panda’s journey, I really hope that this pup makes a full recovery and finds the strength to lead a better life.
