I have never quite seen something as depressing as a dog who was abandoned begging for food on the street.
First, it’s tragic that they ended up in that situation to begin with. They’re likely confused and disoriented. The realization that they were dumped slowly starts setting in.
Many realized that they need to start searching for food because their owner doesn’t want them anymore, and that’s where the difficulties start.
This adorable Golden Retriever was also left on the streets of Georgia by his owner. Luckily for him, a group of rescuers noticed him.
He Looked So Sad
Beach Bum’s life as a street dog was not an easy one. It took a while for him to get adapted, but that doesn’t mean that his struggle ended.
He had to scavenge food wherever he could. He looked through the trash most of the time. He had to drink water from puddles, and he would sleep in parking lots during the night.
Soon, he realized that trying to seek help in a supermarket might help him, so he tried by just wandering inside.
He would beg people who worked there or were just passing by. This helped him a little bit, but he was still in desperate need of help.
Eventually, his story would be picked up by Hounds In Pounds, and they rushed to help him immediately. They found the location where he was staying, and what they saw shocked them.
One of the representatives from the organization told The Dodo: “We found him eating a slice of pizza in the median of a busy road as cars sped by just inches away.”
He Is Recovering At A Foster Home
They were shocked by his condition, so they wasted no time. Beach Bum was immediately taken to a veterinarian, where he received medical attention.
The Georgia rescuers are making sure that this pup gets the absolute best care, but they can tell easily that he doesn’t need any major intervention.
In order to help him before he finds a forever home, the rescuers decided to find a foster home for him. They were successful, and now he gets to enjoy living in a house.
The rescuers have noticed that he is great around other dogs and cats, so they are pretty confident that he will find someone soon.
The representative ends by saying: “He’s pretty laid back and just goes with the flow. His ideal family would be people who enjoy a slower pace and who love to give snacks out. A lot of snacks!”
As of now, he will stay with his foster family, and they will give him the care and love he deserves. I hope that Beach Bum finds the loving family that he deserves.
